I tend to ignore the real organizations as In fact each figure in RF represents 15 real men and one model tank or bigger weapon represents 5 of the real things. What I read about Panzer Lehr is that somehow on the pzshrck issue they had one in each 251 HT (all pzgrenadiers were moved in 251s in this division by June 44) and thus a very high percentage of these weapons alloted as all Pxgren squads had one such At weapon not counting pzfaust. I'm not sure about Pz Lehr in particul...Hi JP,

I'm not sure about Pz Lehr in particular but in KStN 1114c(gp) of 1.11.1943 you had the Panzerzerstörer-Trupp with 4 x RPzB and each of the rifle platoon's 251s carrying an RPzB as well. Later the Tank Destroyer Troop was dropped and you just had an RPzB (if available) in each 'track - similar to the US situation with Bazookas. Obviously any shortfall would be made up with Panzerfausts. So the late war Pz Grenadiers had RPzBs available within the rifle companies but deployed on as-needed basis, not dedicated AT teams. Because of the tiny numbers in the late war squad (assuming 2 men with vehicle leaving only 8 to dismount including 2 x LMG), I represent this in my 1:1 units by using the Panzerschreck models from the PSC halftrack kits as markers to show whether a stand of figures has debussed the vehicle's AT weapon. Different org scale in RF I know... The Simon's Soldiers figs look great!

Cheers, DaveDaveMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707036473168150957noreply@blogger.com
