These large two units, two Russian 1943 Tank Corps, have been on the making for ... hmmm, decades by now. It includes plastic kits made almost 40 years ago and 3d resin prints with a few weeks. The vehicles are Frontline Wargaming, Britannia, Esci, Matchbox, Fujimi, Dragon, MiniGeneral 3d prints, resin 3d prints, Kooperativa, Armoufast, Atlantic (these last two includes some crazy conversions) and Altaya die-cast. The artillery is mostly Irregular Miniatures, Altaya and conversions. The infantry is a mix of all available plastic brands with a few Irregular Miniatures and Skytrex.
This a wargaming place were you can see a growing collection of miniatures and terrain of many historical periods in 20mm (but also a few 10mm,15mm and 28mm) started when I was 10 yo. At the moment it has several tens of thousands of miniatures from foot figures to Destroyers. Occasionally there are some war movie critics and some travel to military sites. My family considers it the best wargaming site in the World even if it is the only one they know. More on @joaopeixoto5249 YouTube Channel.

Very impressive! Huge as it should.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bartek. A bit on the repetitive side but fun to build anyway.
DeleteThat is a large collection! Your painting technique over the years has maintaining a consistent high level.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter. The fact of doing big units that take years to complete forces me to use always the same painting technique (block painting- black wash - dry brush). This is the reason I don´t use spray paint as I started with brush years ago and now I stick to it for the sake of uniformity.
DeleteImpressive, who makes the Gaz Ambulance and Gaz M415?
ReplyDeleteHi Will. They were made in 3d resin by my friend Mário Laranja. He made them first for himself in 28mm and then for me in 20mm.
ReplyDeleteThanks JP, I thought they were probably 3D printed. Does Mário Laranja sell the stl files?
DeleteNo. He says it gave him too much work for it to be sold :) In fact, before brexit he sent a few things to England on people's request but after brexit he quit due to the amount of work he had to have in order to dispatch a single package.
DeleteI always love to see you making use of kits and figures modellers sniff at, so the Atlantic T34s are the gems in this collection!
ReplyDeleteAgree. In fact the conversions that came better are the Armorfast 41 turned into the model 42. The original turret of the model 41 is too tall and so it gave a reasonable base for the model 42. Regarding the Atlantic conversion it became a bit Hollywoodesque as the turret is simply too big. But yes it was fun to build.
